Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born into a music-loving family. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of classical music as well as the traditional Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys Tangos, opera and any form of dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing. She began singing by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when his name was known as a famous Mexican opera tenor. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. In her early years as a student and professional, she performed in several chamber groups and opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She currently performs classical Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in several community initiatives because of her love as well as a love of music. Ana is also an ex-member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity to share with others her love of traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to help keep the music in the present.
