Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a young girl, she moved from London to Oxfordshire where she attended The Dragon School. Emma's goal was to be an actor. At the age of six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes in acting, singing as well as dancing. By the time she turned 10, Emma had taken part in numerous Stagecoach productions and plays. Casting began in 1999 to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by agents via their Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after auditions of 8. They were cast as the 3 leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first film appearance came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The highest-grossing movie of 2001 The film broke records in its first day opening and the opening weekend's earnings. The film was praised by experts, and also by the performance of three new stars. The well-known British publication The Daily Telegraph called her performance as admirable. Emma later won five awards in recognition of her work in the movie.
